Podcasting ideas

The possibilities are endless, but here are a few ideas of how you can use podcasting to improve your relationship with clients, shareholders, suppliers and staff.

Standard podcast to clients
What better way to keep in touch with your clients on a regular basis and create an emotional bond with them. Talk to clients clearly and in an educational or informal manner and keep them interested. It’s also a great way to make new clients aware of your products and services.

Annual report and quarterly results
Present your quarterly results and annual report to shareholders in an informative and interesting manner with one, or many voices. It’s your annual report as a radio program. May be presented as a straight “newscast” or as a half hour or hour long feature. You could include a newscast at the start and halfway points in the program, and feature interviews with various company officials and clients.

Speak to your staff
Communicate more effectively with your staff through a weekly audio newsletter delivered by email or on the company intranet. Get the point across with a short audio email or a longer form message from the president.

Staff or organizational training
Use audio to train your staff or organization members. They can listen to the audio at home on the computer, at the office or in between. Staff can effortlessly put the MP3 onto their iPod (or any other MP3 player) and listen in the car, while working out at the gym or when out for their evening walk.

Authors and musicians
Musicians present their work in professional radio style and writers are interviewed and have excerpts read by professionals. A great marketing tool.

Non-profits
Charity groups and other non-profits present their missions to potential funding agencies, volunteers, clients and others.  Use the warmth and power of audio to get your point across in a unique manner
